A 13-year-old Ardmore 2009 bottled at cask strength without colouring or chill filtration by Berry Bros & Rudd for their Summer 2002 Releases.
Long known for its association with the Teacher's blended whisky brand, and historically one of the smokiest whiskies made on the Scottish mainland, this 2009 Ardmore 13-year-old is actually a rare example of Ardmore's unpeated Ardlair spirit that has had its phenolic quotient supplied by maturation in an ex-Islay cask, most likely from its Beam Suntory stablemate Laphroaig.
Please note that this Berry Bros Ardmore 2009 is Strictly Maximum 1 Bottle Per Customer. Duplicate orders will be deleted.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: This Highland whisky’s aroma is an earthy mix of smoked haddock, hessian, wet sand and gravel.
Palate: The palate is complex; opening with coffee, dark chocolate before the expected smoked barley, cullen skink and peat smoke come through.
Finish: A lingering finish offers more smoke and earth as the mouth-coating distillate slowly ebbs away.
Few distilleries have a character as uniquely recognisable as Ardmore.
Jonny McMillan Says
“I love idiosyncratic distillates, whiskies with unique personalities that are easy to pick out amongst the crowd and Ardmore is absolutely one of these gems. I’ve never been sure why Ardmore isn’t a bigger name, but with its earthy, dry peaty character I’m exceptionally glad we’re able to source the odd cask.”

2 bottles of this lovely single malt were bought as gifts. Sampled a couple of drams from one bottle and it went well above expectations. The quality, integrity, natural colour, cask strength ABV and value-for-money made these bottles 'no-brainers'.
Present us with more of these quality bottles at fair prices...and we'll buy more.
This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
