Springbank from the early seventies could be equally as fruity as the legendary sixties distillate before it. This 1973 bottled at 18 years of age is a fantastic example of the super lush, green and salty style. Bags of oomph and tons of classic Campbeltown character.

Initial Smokey smell then a hint of pear drop.
Tried it without water and it had a sharp burning sensation on the palate as you would expect at this strength but once you added water the sharpness mellowed and the sweet vanilla taste came through.
