Hermitage Cacao 25 is a 25-year-old Grande Champagne Cognac from UK negociants Hermitage, founded by cognac expert David Baker. Bottled at 43% after a gradual reduction over four years, Hermitage Cacao 25 is the oldest bottling in the company's Hermitage Trilogy range.
Hermitage are like the cognac equivalent of the whisky industry's independent brands, searching out the best casks from both well-known cognac houses and the many independent producers in the Cognac region whose eaux-de-vies are usually snapped up by the bigger brands for their own prestige bottlings.
Hermitage Cacao 25 is a selected eaux-de-vie from a well-known producer and was created with Ugni Blanc grapes and distilled on a small Charentais alembic still. The spirit was aged briefly in new Limousin oak casks before being transferred into old barrels for the remainder of its 25 years of maturation. A magnificent old cognac selected by one of the industry's finest noses.

It’s a fabulous single malt - first discovered in holiday to Scotland. Small batch whisky and is mostly used as a main component of a blended whisky. Lovely smooth taste
The only way to drink an affordable and decent strength Macallan. A strong Sherry influence with a ‘vintage’ feel, akin to a Springbank 21 I drank 25 years ago when you could pick one up without bankrupting yourself
