Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Ian Macleod Distillers 70cl / 52.4%
It's not often you see Dailuaine as a stand-alone single malt but when you do it tends to be in quality bottlings from independent bottlers like this.
Rumour has it that this it the last batch release from the Chieftain's range, we certainly hope it isn't.
This Dailuaine was distilled in November 1983 and matured in a single hogshead #4329 before being bottled 35 years later in May 2019 with a yield of just 135 bottles.

Edradour may be the hidden gem of malts but this is a hidden gem in their line up. Dark, complex and satisfying, don't hesitate for a second, this is not to be missed at this price point.
Initial Smokey smell then a hint of pear drop.
Tried it without water and it had a sharp burning sensation on the palate as you would expect at this strength but once you added water the sharpness mellowed and the sweet vanilla taste came through.
