Johnnie Walker Blue has been the market-leading prestige blended Scotch whisky ever since it first appeared towards the end of the 1980s, and this is one of the old bottles from around the first decade of this century when the blend used some extremely old, high quality malts in the recipe. This will be a delight for fans of old school high quality blends.

Initial Smokey smell then a hint of pear drop.
Tried it without water and it had a sharp burning sensation on the palate as you would expect at this strength but once you added water the sharpness mellowed and the sweet vanilla taste came through.
