Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 54.7%
A small batch sherried Lagavulin 1995 19-year-old Islay single malt whisky released at full cask strength as a special edition for the Feis Ile Islay Festival 2014.
This 19-year-old Lagavulin 1995 was a limited edition of 3500 bottles released at its natural cask strength of 54.7% from a small batch of sherry casks selected by legendary Lagavulin warehouseman Iain 'Pinkie' McArthur, who retired in 2023 after 53 years in the whisky industry. 1995 was an excellent vintage for the distillery, spawning several great vintage official bottlings - this is one of the finest of them.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
