A wonderful old Convalmore 1984 32-year-old bottled for Diageo's 2017 Special Releases at its natural cask strength of 48.2%. Just 3972 bottles of this 32-year-old Convalmore were released from a small batch of refill American oak hogsheads.
Convalmore is only now becoming recognised as one of the great lost Speyside distilleries, as bottlings were infrequent to say the least. The first ever official Convalmore was a superb Rare Malts edition released in 2003, a couple of years before the first of three outstanding Special Release versions in 2005, 2013 and 2017. A lost style of waxy fruitiness, this is an old school treasure.
