Takamaka rums are created at the Trois Frères distillery on the beautiful island of Mahé in the Seychelles. Takamaka Pti Lakaz rum has been bottled at 45.1% without colouring, sugar or chill filtration.
Takamaka Pti Lakaz is part of the distillery's St Andre series and comprises pot-distilled cane rum, aka rhum agricole - some of which is aged in port casks - blended with 3-year-old pot and column-distilled molasses rum and an 8-year-old Bajan rum from the Foursquare distillery. This should be splendid stuff.

This rum is full of rich fruit, such as dried apricot with notes of star anise and dried cocoa beans building into a complex finish full of dry spice.
