The Inaugural Release of Lagg distillery's single malt whisky! Lagg is the sister of Arran distillery (now known as Lochranza) and began production at their new distillery in the south of Arran island in 2019.

This is the first of three batches in Lagg's Inaugural Release and has been 100% matured in ex-bourbon casks - the forthcoming Lagg Inaugural Release Batch 2 and Batch 3 are sherry finish and red wine finish respectively.

Lagg was built to take over peated malt whisky production from Lochranza and this Batch 1 was peated to the new distillery's standard 50ppm phenolicity and bottled at a sturdy 50%. It's always a pleasure to welcome the first single malt from a new distillery, and the arrival of Lagg's Inaugural Release Batch 1 will be welcomed by peat-fanciers everywhere.
