A limited edition Glendronach 14-year-old Marsala Cask Finish, this was distilled in the early years of the century and bottled in 2018, following an earlier 18-year-old Marsala-finished expression released in 2014.
Glendronach 14-year-old Marsala Cask Finish was matured initially in European oak casks before being transferred into a small batch of Marsala casks to finish its maturation, and was bottled without colouring or chill filtration at a hearty 46% drinking strength. This was an edition of just 1646 bottles and shows delicious dried fruit and nutty flavours.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
