A special bottling of Johnnie Walker Black Label 12-year-old whisky, released in 2008 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the famous Striding Man logo, which was originally created in 1908 - supposedly scribbled on a napkin by commercial artist Tom Browne after receiving the brief from John Walker's grandson George during a lunch meeting at a gentlemen's club in London.
Regardless of whether the story is true or not, the Striding Man has been adorning bottles of Johnnie Walker ever since and is one of the oldest and most famous brand logos in the world. This special edition Johnnie Walker Black Label features an all-black label to allow the gold Striding Man logo pride of place and has been popular with collectors ever since its launch in 2008.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
