An old bottle of Macallan 10-year-old Sherry Cask from some point after the 2004 packaging revamp, meaning this would have been distilled in the mid to late 1990s.
These old Macallan 10-year-olds were classic archetypes of the rich sherried Speyside style, but sadly this particular expression was discontinued in 2013, and has been sought-after by Macallan fans and collectors ever since.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
