A bottle of Glenmorangie's short-lived Burgundy Wood Finish, this was first introduced in travel retail in 2003 and was discontinued in 2007, making it the shortest-lived of the original core range Glenmorangie Wood Finishes and thus one of the harder ones to find nowadays.
Glenmorangie Burgundy Finish was spicy, sweet and balanced with notes of baked apple, wood spice and fresh fruits. A soft, easy-drinking whisky, Glenmorangie Burgundy Finish was a 12-year-old - most likely starting as standard Glenmorangie 10-year-old before an extra two years in the wine casks, which were from Burgundy's Cote d'Or.
