A fabulous old indie bottling of Glenlivet Over 10 Years Old. This 10-year-old Glenlivet was bottled by Mayor, Sworder & Co., an historic City of London independent wine and spirits merchant founded in the early 1900s.
Bottled at 75 proof (43%), the contents of this 10-year-old Glenlivet seem likely to have seen the inside of a sherry cask, judging by the colour. We estimate that this bottle dates from the 1960s, meaning that the whisky was most likely distilled in the 1950s, and although there are a few nicks and marks on the label it's in superb condition for its age. This will be fantastic whisky.

In the nose it is very interesting and complex but when you taste it’s just horrible even if you add a bit of water… expected a lot more from a miltonduff
