A lovely old bottle of the all-time classic Macallan 1949 50-year-old Millennium Decanter Speyside single malt whisky. This was bottled in 1999, as the name would suggest, at a hearty 43% and has a very strong claim in the running for the best official Macallan ever released.
This 50-year-old Macallan 1949 Millennium was an edition of just 900 beautiful round crystal decanters decorated with a rose gold collar, and the whisky itself is an exquisite Macallan with five decades of maturation in mind-blowingly good sherry casks. A truly magnificent dram from Speyside's most prestigious distillery.

A surprise at the price, I found this dram eceeto be smooth with a good smoke finish, marked at 4 stars because although it was easy to follow with another glass or two it just lacked a little body. I shall buy another bottle of this
