Blanton's Original first appeared in 1984 as arguably the first luxury prestige single barrel bourbon range, and is generally believed to have helped spark the revival of the flagging American whiskey market, becoming an iconic bourbon brand along the way. The whisky arrived promptly and didn't disappoint. The whisky, with a few drops of water, was super smooth despite the 51% alcohol. As always, the sherry cask enhanced the flavour - another great un-peated whisky from Bunnahabhain.
