Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 75cl / 43%
An old bottling of 10-year-old Auchentoshan from the 1980s. These are beautiful old bottles that are now becoming harder and harder to find.
Auchentoshan, Gaelic for "Corner of the field" was founded in 1817 and is situated today at the foot of the Kilpatrick Hills near the Erskine Bridge. It changed hands many times until 1969 when it was sold to Eddie Cairns who then proceeded to upgrade the distillery and then sold it to Stanley Morrison (later Morrison Bowmore) in 1984. It is known as the only Scotch whisky that is fully triple distilled and is today owned by Edrington Beam Suntory.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
