Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 40.9%
One of the oldest ever official bottlings from the distillery, this Auchentoshan 1966 44-year-old was matured in American oak barrels that were caught in the nick of time - this special edition 1966 vintage Auchentoshan was bottled in 2011 at its cask strength of 40.9%.
This 44-year-old Auchentoshan 1966 is a limited edition of just 263 bottles and is one of the distillery's best ever presentations, coming in a lovely sloping curved bottle with a heavy base and metal stopper, all in a sturdy wooden box with a stamped brushed steel plate affixed to the front.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
