Benromach's Contrasts series is a great way to explore the different experimental malts produced at Gordon & MacPhail's small but beautiful Speyside distillery, and the series is home to Benromach's triple-distilled and organic single malts as well as their peated spirit.
This 2014 Benromach Contrasts: Peat Smoke 2014 was full term matured in first fill sherry hogshead casks, a departure form 2022's bourbon-matured version, and was peated to a potent 55ppm, so this should be a sweet, phenolic treat.
