This 17-year-old Caol Ila 2006 was bottled from Cask 306193, a single first fill sherry puncheon cask that yielded an impressive 561 bottles at a mighty 58.3% natural cask strength. The best sherried Caol Ilas are a perfect mix of rich fruitiness from the sherry along with Caol Ila's coastal sand, soot and seaweed - this should be utterly fantastic whisky.
