Cèdre Blanc is the older of Fanny Fougerat's XO cognacs, being distilled by the auteur grower-distiller from the 2000 vintage of the family's Ugni Blanc grapes from their Fins Bois vineyards.
Bottled at the higher-than-usual strength of 44% to really let the fruit and rancio flavours sing, Fanny Fougerat Cèdre Blanc is a pure XO cognac with no chill filtration, added sugar or caramel colouring. This is a tobacco-y, leathery XO with generous spices and a really rich, distinguished character.

It’s a fabulous single malt - first discovered in holiday to Scotland. Small batch whisky and is mostly used as a main component of a blended whisky. Lovely smooth taste
The only way to drink an affordable and decent strength Macallan. A strong Sherry influence with a ‘vintage’ feel, akin to a Springbank 21 I drank 25 years ago when you could pick one up without bankrupting yourself
