Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 40%
An old 1956 Glen Grant bottled in 2008 as a 51-year-old by Gordon & MacPhail for the Distillery Labels series from their seemingly inexhaustible supply of incredible old casks from this great distillery.
This 51-year-old Glen Grant 1956 came from a microbatch of two sister first fill sherry butts numbered 4442 and 4446. A magnificent bottling, absolutely alive with intense fruit flavour, wood spice, all kinds of delicate honey notes and a beautiful mentholated complexity.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
