Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 43%
A Glendronach 1974 18-year-old from 1992, back in simpler times when the distillery was thought of by most people as a Speyside. These extraordinary Glendronachs were nowhere near as high-profile as the Macallan 18-year-olds from the same era but the whisky is every bit the equal and many consider the Glendronachs to be superior to the contemporary Macallans.
An earthy, rich, fruity and savoury old sherried whisky, from real sherry casks - a disappeared style with an extraordinary depth for the strength and a complexity which is just totally seductive. These magnificent bottlings are now finally being given the recognition they have long deserved.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
