An old bottle of Suntory Royal, a premium blended Japanese whisky first introduced in 1960 in its famous squat rectangular bottle with the 'torii' stopper emulating the torii gate from the shrine at the back of Yamazaki distillery.
This is an older edition of Suntory Royal, most likely from the 1980s, and as the Yamazaki distillery is mentioned on the front label it's a fair bet that the malt component will be Yamazaki. These old 'SR' bottles are usually excellent: rich, soft and very easy-drinking.
