Bottled at a palate-friendly 46%, this 2010 Tomatin 12-year-old was finished in casks that previously held the classic Italian wine Barolo, a rich, heavy red wine that will have added robust berry and forest fruit flavours to Tomatin's biscuity Highland style.

Nose: Aromas of mulled wine and dark chocolate lead.
Palate: On the palate there are notes of spiced mead with cranberry and an underlying fresh citrus in the form of grapefruit.
Finish: Light tannin and sugared almonds linger on the finish.
